• Hello! I recently downloaded WordPress, eager to install it. However, when I uploaded all of the files (the root files, as well as files in folders wp-adin, wp-content, wp-images & wp-includes) and went to my install.php, I unhappily found this following error:

Warning: main(/home/virtual/site245/fst/var/www/html/wordpress/wp-includes/wp-db.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/virtual/site245/fst/var/www/html/wordpress/wp-settings.php on line 39

Fatal error: main(): Failed opening required ‘/home/virtual/site245/fst/var/www/html/wordpress/wp-includes/wp-db.php’ (include_path=’.:/php/includes:/usr/share/php’) in /home/virtual/site245/fst/var/www/html/wordpress/wp-settings.php on line 39

Do any of you super-smart WordPress people have any idea on how to fix this? 🙂

    Thank you in advance!

    God bless!

    -Elizabeth

By the way, I looked through the support forums looking for an answer to my problem, but was unable to find anything that was helpful to me.

    Thanks again!

First thing to do is check that all the files have indeed been correctly transferred to your site by the ftp client. Compare what is on your machine to what is on the site.
Then check the permissions on the folders – the default should be 755, and that should work, but some hosts could alter that.
