• Hi all,

Could you please help? Following the latest WP update, a fatal error has occurred on my website (www.mlvphotography.uk). Since then the plugin causing the error has been deactivated but I am unable to create new pages, galleries etc. and the previous version of WP installed. When activating the plugin (my theme recommends it to operate), same message appears:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare update_termmeta_cache() (previously declared in /home/rootmarta/public_html/wp-includes/taxonomy.php:1364) in /home/rootmarta/public_html/wp-content/plugins/tag-map/TagMap.php on line 120

Is there anything I can do to solve it and to save my current progress on the website?

    Thank you all in advance!

This error means the plugin “tag-map” is trying to re-declare a function that’s already been declared by the WordPress core. The easy way to fix this is to remove/rename that plugin’s directory.

    Hi t-p,

    Thank you for your reply.

I have tried both already and the website is up and running on the outside (the plugin is deactivated only atm), but on the inside I am unable to make any changes to the current pages and posts, or so it seems without this plugin. I can create new ones but current work progress is doomed. In the editor the screen is blank.

***Scrap that*** New posts, pages and galleries are playing up as well. Looks like the whole theme is affected.

What the heck is a tag map anyways? Why is it so crucial for my theme to operate? Total novice here…
