# fatal error in install, undefined function

 * I’ve tried redownloading the zip file and uploading a fresh installation. My 
   config file is fine, this error comes up after I enter the desired blog name 
   and the email address. Once I click continue I get this:
 * `Fatal error: Call to undefined function: is_email() in /home/webusers/MYUSERNAME/
   MYDOMAIN.com/blog/wp-admin/install.php on line 126`
 * (Please note that my username and domain name are changed for privacy, otherwise
   the error is an exact copy/paste)

 * Are you sure you uploaded all the files in FTP ASCII mode?
 * `is_email()` lives in `wp-includes/functions-formatting.php`, so you could conceivably
   try just uploading that one file. Delete the one on your server first.
