Fatal Error Home Page Disappeared. HELP!

    I installed wordfence and it stated that a file was installed by a hacker, so I deleted the file only to find all of the contents on my homepage to be missing.
    Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_thumbnail_src() in /home/content/86/6105186/html/wp-content/themes/school-wp50/home.php on line 26
    This is the code that came up. I am a total novice. Please explain how I can get my homepage back. Thank you.

    What did you delete? Did you delete it via FTP? Does switching to a default theme bring the homepage back? That error seems to be coming from your theme.

    Wordfence shouldn’t have affected your theme at all when you removed it.

    If you don’t know how to do any of this, please try contacting your host first. That is what you pay them for (if it’s a server related problem), they can at least give you the error log and we can try to help.

    Craig, thank you for your assistance. I feel better knowing my information is not totally lost. OK, when I change to a different theme, my information minus some of my pictures returned. When I returned to the original theme, I only get the pictures that I didn’t see when I changed theme but none of the text. I like the original theme. So what can I do to get the original theme to work correctly?
