  • I’m experiencing a fatal error that stops me seeing my blog. I’ve deleted the offending plugin and removed references to it in the code but I still see the the error message.

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare weathericon() (previously declared in /homepages/7/d88945627/htdocs/juicygeography.co.uk/blog/wp-content/plugins/WeatherIcon.php:325) in /homepages/7/d88945627/htdocs/juicygeography.co.uk/blog/wp-content/plugins/WeatherIcon/WeatherIcon.php on line 459

Could anyone advise me on the next stage. Do I need to use my database backup? Please be aware that I have little technical knowledge.

    Thanks

  • Keep looking, you are missing a call – no reference = no call = no fatal error. And apparently you have not deleted the directory with the plugin.

Beel – thanks I’d only deleted the file locally. What a plank!
