Fatal error: fatal flex scanner internal error–end of buffer missed in /home2/heathfh1/public_html/nwlcareersblog/wp-content/themes/thesis_182/custom/custom_functions.php on line 2

I didn’t actually do this but this is what the person who was working on the configuration told me she did. I’m trying to troubleshoot the issue.
She was going through and trying to do this…
    http://diythemes.com/thesis/rtfm/move-replace-nav-menu/#move

    This is what she did
I went to custom code section (I think that’s the name but I can’t see it) under the thesis section of the dashboard.
I saw that there was code above, and then there was a line that said place your custom code below here, so I pasted the code in, but in doing so, it deleted some of the dashes/characters on the line dividing the above stuff from the custom, and I thought I replaced what was deleted, and so I went to save and this fatal error showed up.

    Any help would be appreciated.
