Fatal error: Call to a member function get_type() on boolean in /home2/graceco3/public_html/gracecomputer.net/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-products-designer/admin/class-wpd-product.php on line 619

Fatal Error message only comes up if I do not select any size or color options and press DESIGN FROM BLANK, shouldn’t it be popping an alert message saying that “The Options are required before design” instead of saying Fatal Error for customers? It will seem like my website is not working properly…

Yes I understand. In the pro version, we don’t even show the buttons if the customer has not selected a variation. We’ll add that to the free one shortly.

Actually, Fatal error means something is wrong…if nothing is wrong, it should show an alert message.

…there must be some coding error in class-wpd-product.php, because I see someone else posted before me a week ago also has a similar Fatal error

Yes I know what’s wrong, I coded it :). That error is triggered by the fact you were redirected to the customization page without a custom product. And after that, the code tries to use it.

How do I get rid of it or fix it?

    What is the status?

Seems like I am still getting fatal error if I don’t select any options before clicking DESIGN FROM BLANK…customers will think something is wrong with my website.

It is fine to give an alert that the fields are required before designing from blank, but please don’t give a fatal error just for not selecting options.

Please fix as soon as possible. Thank you.
