Fatal error: Call to undefined function update_options() in /home/***/publi

    I know there has been some forums out there on how to fix this but most of them say to turn off plug in then reinstall – however i can not get into the dashboard inorder to turn off plug in. I could really use some help because i have been stuck in Fatal error: Call to undefined function update_options() in /home/******/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo/admin/class-admin.php on line 441
    Limbo for over a month now and really would like to update my site. I will also say I am new to this so I need simple help if possible.

    FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) & delete the wp-content/plugins/wordpress-seo folder.
