[Resolved] Fatal error: Call to undefined function update_core() when auto upgrading

  • jwurster

    @jwurster

    When I click on the auto upgrade button, I get this error:

    Fatal error: Call to undefined function update_core() in /home/xxxxx/public_html/lemon/wordpress/wp-admin/includes/class-wp-upgrader.php on line 895

    I haven’t had any trouble auto upgrading plugins as recently as today. Any help would be appreciated.

    One added piece of info is that I get the following error when auto upgrading:

    Unpacking the update…

    Incompatible Archive.: PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

    Installation Failed

    It seems I get one error or the other.

    I read the other information I found concerning out of server disk space and that was the problem. After it was increased, the upgrade was successful.

    Thanks for posting this, I have run into the same issue.
