I am in the process testing the latest WP 5 to check our site move over with Gutenberg will go.

After installing your plugin it is asking for Gutenberg to be activated, it is the default WP 5 install with Gutenberg already installed as core in WP 5

I am also getting the error as in the title (which may be because GB is not installed as a plugin)

Fatal error: Call to undefined function gutenberg_get_block_categories()
    plugins\advanced-gutenberg\incl\advanced-gutenberg-main.php on line 345

    Cheers

  • Hi,

I’m sorry for this delay in the reply.
    Thanks for reporting this.

WordPress 5 uses an old Gutenberg version.
You can install Gutenberg plugin on top of your WP 5 install, it should fix it.

We are waiting to the final WP release version to see if they are going to update Gutenberg or if we have to maintain our plugin with the old Gutenberg version…

    Best regards

    Hi,

We have updated our Advanced gutenberg plugin version to fit all latest changes from WordPress 5. Feel free to open a thread if you encounter any other issue.

    Cheers,
