# Fatal error: Call to undefined function

 * Immediately after activating this plugin my website crashed. No changes made
   to the code or anything, immediate crash on activation. I am no longer able to
   access the dashboard and am given the following message:
 * Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_styles() in /homepages/25/d210381942/
   htdocs/SJJ/wp-content/plugins/nextgen-gallery/products/photocrati_nextgen/modules/
   nextgen_gallery_display/module.nextgen_gallery_display.php on line 259
 * Judging by the plugin continuing to get positive reviews I assume this is a problem
   unique to me. My FTP is not letting my access my site right now so I can deactivate
   the plugin so if I can fix this issue from here that would be best. Is anyone
   aware of a solution to this? thanks in advance.

 * Really sorry to hear about this error, [@m0rticon](https://wordpress.org/support/users/m0rticon/)
   🙁 Let’s first check the server settings to make sure you have everything up
   to date. Reach out to your hosting provider and confirm they have the [WordPress.org Requirements](https://wordpress.org/about/requirements/)
   settings in place:
 * MySQL v5.6 (or higher)
    PHP 7 (or higher)
 * Memory limit: 250MB (or higher)
    Upload limit: 50MB (or higher) Post limit: 50MB(
   or higher) /wp-content directory has sufficient permissions (i.e. 755)
 * With those in place, everything should work smoothly for you. If it still crashes,
   let’s check to see if there is a plugin conflict happening. Temporarily deactivate
   all plugins, then reactivate NextGEN Gallery only. Does the error still appear?
   If so, temporarily switch to a WordPress theme (this deactivation is only intended
   to quickly check to see if the error goes away or is still present). If by deactivating
   the other plugins, the error does go away, reactivate each of the other plugins
   one at a time to locate the culprit. Keep me posted on your results 🙂

 * Thank you for your help with this, my provider does meet all those requirements.
   I am unfortunately unable to follow the other steps because this message appears
   as soon as I log in, my dashboard is completely unavailable. To access my dashboard
   I would first need to disable NextGEN through FTP which would render me unable
   to activate it again without this error message returning.
 * I can confirm that I have two other gallery plugins active on my WordPress –
   is this likely to create a conflict?

 * [@m0rticon](https://wordpress.org/support/users/m0rticon/) – it may. Would you
   be willing to disable the NextGEN Gallery plugin manually via FTP, login to your
   WordPress dashboard and temporarily deactivate all of the other plugins, and
   then try reactivating NextGEN Gallery again? If so, keep me posted on your results.
   That will help clarify whether or not it may be a plugin conflict.
 * Thanks!

 * I disabled all of my gallery plugins and unfortunately the problem remains. Upon
   activation of NextGEN I receive the same error message.

 * @m0rticon-
 * Darn, I was hoping that would help clear that error message for you. 99% of the
   time, deactivating and reactivating plugins clears out most issues users see.
