• Hello there… Please help !

I created my wordpress web site in 2011 and since then, I had only been making small posts and additions to it. So forgive me, I am a little bit rusty on how to do stuff. I cannot even recall what’s the name of my template etc…
But I had to change the domain name recently because I lost the original name (long story – somebody else was handling my domain name, and forgot to renew it.) Anyway, I was so happy today because after spending a couple of days trying to get my head around it, I had finally managed to get it all working properly on my new domain name, http://www.emiliewood.fr (without even asking for help).
And that’s when REAL trouble began ! I decided to update my plugins and theme… thinking that it would all work better.
All I managed to get was that as soon as I clicked on the update button, my web site became blank and showed the following message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function get_temp_dir() in /home/users5/e/emiliewood/www/emiliewood/wp-content/plugins/wp-db-backup/wp-db-backup.php on line 112

I have tried going to my FTP to change back the wp-db-backup.php file – nothing changed.
I have tried to upload my latest back up file using phpadmin… nothing changed.
I have no idea how to get my site back to normal now.
If you can help it would be awesome.
    Thanks !

    Emilie

your “wp-db-backup” seems to be the error.

try deleting its folder using FTP , or your web-host’s cPanel or whatever file management application your host provides.
