  • I was playing around with different themes and had absolutely no idea that plugins needed to be deactivated before switching themes. I changed one from WooThemes’ “Swatch” to a CyberChimps theme, and the next thing you know I’ve lost all access to my dashboard and get this error message:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class RW_Meta_Box in /home/fmyldasi/public_html/wp-content/themes/response/cyberchimps/inc/meta-box-class.php on line 108

I’ve spent the last three hours watching and reading tutorials to no avail. I have the Phpmyadmin thing installed via Wamp, but what’s the username and password? I typed in “Root” with no password and got in, but then it seems like it has no connection whatsoever to my WordPress account site. I use Lithium Hosting, can I fix it with them? How can I go into my WordPress dash and deactivate these plugins without access to the dashboard, especially considering this is the first time I’ve even heard of phpmMyadmin/Wamp/Localhost?

I’m really not good with databases and computer codes…

    If anyone can help…

  • If your site is on a server, you have to access the site files on the server – it’s nothing on your computer or using WAMP.

The easiest way is to use FTP – ask your hosting company how to set that up – it’s just a way to access files on a server.

Then find the theme’s folder and rename or delete that one:

response - DELETE or RENAME this folder

Ahhh, I see! I will contact my host for more information. Thank you!
