Hi there Mailpoet team, Happy New Year and many thanks for a great plug-in. I’ve been using it for several years now on the website of a non-for-profit which I volunteer for, sending out newsletters to our supporters. Great work.

Unfortunately after updating plugins just now (Mailpoet going to 3.42.2), the site seems to have fallen over :-(. All that comes up is:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 62914560 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /homepages/33/d584331810/htdocs/clickandbuilds/YorkRally/wp-content/plugins/mailpoet/lib/Config/PopulatorData/Templates/LifestyleBlogB.php on line 36

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 62914560 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /homepages/33/d584331810/htdocs/clickandbuilds/YorkRally/wp-includes/class-wp-fatal-error-handler.php on line 67

This happened once before (exact same error I’m fairly sure) when updating to whatever the version was two releases before 3.42.2, and our host’s admin fixed it by renaming the Mailpoet plugin folder, and that restored the site to working fine (with the plug-in showing as installed but deactivated). A few days later (once a new Mailpoet version came out) I updated the plug-in to that new version and activated it again, and it seemed to work OK until I updated the plug-in again just now.

Very grateful for any hints before I bug the hosting admin again – is it actually likely to be a Mailpoet problem or maybe something to do with the WordPress set-up or server memory? Didn’t see any other very recent reports on the forum for this issue…

In case it’s relevant I do still also have the Mailpoet 2 plug-in installed and active, purely so that the archive of old newsletters remains available…

Sorry I can’t access details of the server environment as a user (while the site is down at least!) but I can always ask the hosting admin, if info is needed.

    TIA for any advice!

    Peter
