Critical Error after News Portal theme update

    Updating the News Portal theme broke my site.
    The main issue I believe is with the “NP: Carousel” Widget. That is the only thing that is missing with the page is viewed.
    When I click on Appearance > Customize in the WP Admin menu, I get a page that reads, “There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”, at the bottom.

    I have contacted wordpress and they were able to give me the error message:

    “[24-Sep-2019 15:10:26 UTC] PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 260714120 bytes) in /srv/htdocs/wp-content/themes/news-portal/inc/widgets/np-widget-fields.php on line 136”

    I have a screenshot but am not sure how to add it.
