Support » Installing WordPress » FATAL ERROR after installing

  • For the past couple of hours, I have been reading people’s posts about the errors they are getting after updating WordPress and I’ve been trying to figure out the error on my own, but I am having trouble since I don’t have enough knowledge.

I am able to log in and I am able to see the dashboard. Everything looks like it should work. However, whenever I click on a link I get this message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 122880 bytes) in /home/hellolol/public_html/wp-admin/includes/menu.php on line 126

    OR this message:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 30720 bytes) in /home/hellolol/public_html/wp-admin/includes/menu.php on line 174

I went to my cpanel and found the menu.php file. First I renamed it, but nothing happened. Then I rewrote it, but again, nothing happened. I’m not sure if that’s what I was supposed to do, but I just gave it a try.

Would anyone know what I should be doing?

    Would really appreciate your help.
    Thank you,
    Lolo
