I run my school’s ASB website, so this website isn’t technically mine. As a result, I don’t have much clue as to how to use the website past the basic things like making/editing posts and installing plugins. When I activated the BonPress theme (http://www.wpzoom.com/themes/bonpress/), I got a fatal error that looked like this:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare the_content_limit() (previously declared in /home/barons10/public_html/wp-content/plugins/limit-post-add-on/limit-post.php:11) in /home/barons10/public_html/wp-content/themes/bonpress/functions/wpzoom-functions.php on line 442

Now I can’t access anything. What should I do?

  • either disable the plugin or the theme through FTP.

I tried using Filezilla and establishing a connection, but the status box keeps saying “critical error” and “cannot connect to server.” The username and password I use for Filezilla is the same as the one I use to sign into WordPress for the website, right?

I also tried connecting to the server without using a username and password, but it wouldn’t let me see the files.

Oh wait, never mind. I got it. Thank you so much!

So…could you share what you did to fix it with the rest of the class? Just ran into this error myself on a different WPZoom theme–but same function error.
