Can you copy/paste the text of the error or a screenshot?
Do you have any idea what hosting company you are using and what PHP version you are running?
If it died during an update, do that update manually. What were you updating?
If WP itself, see this doc page.
If a plugin or theme, delete it from wp-content/plugins or wp-content/themes and reinstall.
please send your website url or update manually https://wordpress.org/support/article/updating-wordpress/

tweet-old-post plugin encounters an error on your website, please disable it once and check.
Sorry – I’m not savvy about this at all – how do I disable? I can’t seem to even get to my dashboard now.
Can’t screen shot, but here is the error:
Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home2/sarena/public_html/wp-content/plugins/tweet-old-post/includes/admin/class-rop-admin.php on line 893
Via FTP or the file manager app in your hosting control panel, delete the directory wp-content/plugins/tweet-old-post
login to your c-panel and go to wp-content/plugins and then rename tweek old post plugin folder name.
Thanks, Ravi. I can not get into my control panel anymore. When I try, I get this error:
/home2/sarena/public_html/wp-content/plugins/tweet-old-post/includes/admin/class-rop-admin.php
