There is an error that blocks me for signing into WordPress. It seems to be related to the AWCP. We haven’t updated lately, so I don’t know what has changed. My homepage reads:

Warning: include(/homepages/27/d364259568/htdocs/public_html/wp-includes/js/tinymce/article.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /homepages/27/d364259568/htdocs/public_html/wp-config.php on line 77

  • Hi seasprayapt,

Sorry that you ran into issues here!

I believe you sent us this request in email as well. I thought I responded there, but if you didn’t receive it, let’s try it here.

Can you tell me a bit more?
    – What version of WP are you running here?
    – What exact version of AWPCP? (number, please)
    – Have you tried a conflict test yet? Here is an article about how to test for theme and plugin conflicts with AWPCP, which may help pinpoint the issue: http://awpcp.com/forum/faq/how-to-test-for-plugintheme-conflicts/

No need to double-submit issues, we do receive and respond to them all.

I did not send an email or see one in the neighborhood email’s sent files, but it is possible someone from our neighborhood association contacted you from a personal or work account.

We are totally locked out. As in, when I try to access the WP admin login, I receive the same message that any visitor would see from our homepage (the one pasted above).

Since I cannot access the Admin page, I cannot answer your questions well. However, I know that we are not using the most recent version of WP (maybe a January 2016 version) and that we typically update plugins as available. The last time I was logged on was mid-January and it is possible that I could have updated the plugin at that time if one was available. However, the website is checked after updates for conflicts and I didn’t note any at that time.

I reached out to AWPCP because the fatal error mentions it, but this problem seems to be larger than the plugin. Any ideas as to what the problem could be?

    Hi @seasprayapt,

In order to effectively diagnose this issue, you’ll want to contact the admin of your site.

If Jan 2016 is the last time you updated WordPress, I’m afraid that would be horribly old and out of date–missing perhaps at least 6 major patches for security problems in WP. You’ll want to fix that ASAP. I’m guessing maybe you meant Jan 2017 (at least I hope so!)

You’ll want to run that exact conflict test I noted above and provide the results here. My guess is that an up-to-date WP install with AWPCP and a default theme should not throw those errors at all. The conflict test will tell you which plugin or theme is the cause of that.

    Please let me know.
