Fatal error after the last update (Jan. 17th 2017) HTTP 500, website DOWN, do not update!!

Hi @nr27,

Can you check your error log to see what the fatal error is exactly?
Please provide as much information as possible.

it was on http://www.airxpert.nl/
How can I check my error log?

Hi @nr27,

That’s a question I cannot answer as it’s different for every web host. But I’m sure your web host will be happy to help you get access to the log.

I’ll ask them and let you know a.s.a.p. Taco.
I removed your plugin from the ftp server and the error is fixed now, so it’s def. the Yoeast plugin that has some kind of bug.

It’s working across our news network without any troubles, so far.

Linux, PHP 5.6x, Plesk, Apache.

Absolutely the same here I got Fatal Error – Fatal error: Cannot redeclare register_setting() (previously declared in /flora/www/htdocs/htdocs.hannu-pro-wp/wordpress/wp-includes/option.php:1871) in /flora/www/htdocs/htdocs.hannu-pro-wp/wordpress/wp-admin/includes/plugin.php on line 1795 after uncsuccessful 4.7.1 update today. Resetting plugins with a:0:{} leads to The wp.hannu-pro.com page isn’t working
wp.hannu-pro.com is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500. WordPress is completely dead. Unfortunately I have no backups too. Wouldn’t it be good that user is asked to do complete backup when proceeds with update?

This is the error message I received & have not been able to access my site W-P control panel in over a week. If I delete OnPage, any SEO files & site goes down completely :
