  • I am getting the same error for an install using WordPress 4.0.1. Updated to 4.1 and getting the same error. Tried deleting the plugin and re-installing it, but still getting the error about line 34.

I installed 3.1.1, instead of 3.1.3 and got the following error message: “BackUpWordPress requires PHP version 5.3.2 or later and WordPress version 3.9.3 or later to run. It has not been activated. Learn more.” I checked and this client’s server was below 5.3.2. I’m assuming this is probably what is happening with 3.1.3, but we just aren’t getting a helpful error message.

    Hi Guys,

    Sorry you’ve been having trouble.

So this is because you’re running an older version of PHP. BackUpWordPress needs PHP 5.3.2 or later to run. I recommend you contact your hosts and ask them to upgrade you to PHP 5.3.2 or later.

Let me know if you have any questions,

    Cheers!
