 * Receiving the following message on ejrosenlaw.com:
 * Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_json_encode() in … /wp-includes/class.
   wp-scripts.php on line 186
 * Reading a bunch of things, but need specific direction on how to resolve this.
   I’m unable to login to the WordPress backend because the same error applies.
 * Thanks in advance.

 * First of all, please do regular backups to your WP website, you can easily schedule
   backups with a plugin, I recommend you use [https://wordpress.org/plugins/backupwordpress/](https://wordpress.org/plugins/backupwordpress/)
   so you can restore the site in the future.
 * Now, do you have FTP or cPanel access to the site? If so, you can try to rename
   your current theme directory (you must have a default WordPress theme there, 
   you can upload one if not) lets say “YourcurrentTheme” to “_YourcurrentTheme”
   and try to access the site again. The idea is to check if is a theme issue, you
   can do the same with the plugins directory if that does not work.
