# Fatal Error

 * Hi,
 * I’m kind of new to wordpress. I downloaded tablepress plugin, and I clicked to
   activate it but I was then redirected to a blank page with this message:
 * Fatal error: Call to undefined function shortcode_exists() in /homepages/25/d235359763/
   htdocs/cepsi/wp-content/plugins/easy-table/easy-table.php on line 80
 * I can no longer access the website ([http://cepsi-cipss.ca/](http://cepsi-cipss.ca/))
   nor can I even see the website. I’ve tried to access the site via an FTP in order
   to ‘delete’ the plugin, but it will not connect.
 * Please help!

 * thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
 * From what I can see, this is an issue in the “Easy Table” plugin and not in the“
   TablePress” plugin (in whose forums you have posted).
 * It seems like you are using an old version of WordPress (namely 3.3.1 instead
   of the current 3.9.1), which is missing a function that “Easy Table” is using.
 * You will therefore have to deactivate “Easy Table” via FTP, so I can only suggest
   that you contact your webhost company about those FTP connection issues.
