# Fatal error

 * I tried installing the plugin. When tried to activate I get the following message.
 * Fatal error: apc_clear_cache(): apc_fcntl_lock failed errno:6 in C:\…\plugins\
   better-wp-security\core\class-itsec-lib.php on line 66
 * I tried to go to the plugins page to uninstall, but got this error:
 * Fatal error: apc_clear_cache(): apc_fcntl_lock failed errno:6 in C:\appengine-
   php-wp\wordpress\wp-content\plugins\better-wp-security\core\class-itsec-lib.php
   on line 66
 * Therefore, I renamed the better-wp-security folder.
 * But…
 * There are several plugins I can no longer manage. It seems like the botched installation
   introduced some changes and I cannot roll them back.
 * Among the two I cannot longer manage are s2member and si-captcha giving the following
   errors.
 * “You do not have sufficient permissions to access this page.”
 * urls:
    [http://localhost:9080/wp-admin/admin.php?page=ws-plugin–s2member-gen-ops](http://localhost:9080/wp-admin/admin.php?page=ws-plugin–s2member-gen-ops)
   [http://localhost:9080/wp-admin/plugins.php?page=si-captcha-for-wordpress/si-captcha.php](http://localhost:9080/wp-admin/plugins.php?page=si-captcha-for-wordpress/si-captcha.php)
 * Restoring a backup would be too cumbersome for a number of reasons. What other
   changes need to be introduced to roll back my installation to the moment before
   I tried to install this plugin?
 * Please, help!

 * I am still trying to solve this issue. I have restored backups, started anew,
   everything. Nothing seems to solve the issue that started when I tried to install
   the plugin.
 * Please, help!

 * lwall, are you still having this issue?
 * If you do, try resetting it by following these instructions:

 * Please note, check htaccess and wp-config to make sure they don’t have anything
   to keep your website broken. Instructions in the same thread, just scroll down.
