This problem happens with PHP 5.4 but not with PHP 5.2 or 5.3.

I am having the same problem and my blog won't even load and I can't even get into my site's WordPress to disable the plugin.

Please tell me how I can disable the plugin and get my site working again.

    The error is explained here:
    http://stackoverflow.com/questions/12322811/call-time-pass-by-reference-has-been-removed

Is this plugin still updated or it's death?

    Hello Joant6
I am wondering if you can help me in regards to a problem you were having a few months ago
    see https://wordpress.org/support/topic/problem-with-events-calendar-on-multilingual-sites-with-wpml

We are having the same problem trying to run the calender between English and Spanish and I saw on your website that your calender was now working
    http://www.materiabcn.com/activitats/calendari/

Would you please be able to let us know how you resolved the problems, if you can email me on stefana(at)aqua-creative.com that would be really appreciated
    Thanks
    Stefana

Just like "Leonardo Giacone" said. If you go through the plugin's code you will see references to variables like this:
    &$nextMaxId

    This must change to:
    $nextMaxId

    REMOVE THE "&"

I did this in the code where my PHP was reporting it. Then I enabled it and it runs just fine.
