Support » Localhost Installs » Fast CGI in sub folder for Word Press only

  • Hi,
I have quite a few blogs set up as and my servers all run Apache in php mode, which prevents uploads into the blog wp-content folders.
The solution for a normal WP blog is to configure the domain to use Fast CGI which is fine.
Is it possible to do this in Apache (NOT nginx) so that the /blog folder only is run in Fast CGI?

  • Not fastcgi, with mod_fcgid its possible. fastcgi ‘s configuration is not so straightforward if you want to use it in many different virtual domains / UNIX paths in Apache2.

Its an extreme mod, I have doubt how many people practically will understand what exactly you are running. This is important to take others’ help to troubleshoot.

By the way, you can actually serve a domain’s sub directory from different server – I guess its more easier to handle.
You can ask in Stack Overflow, I guess you will get much more help.
