Fashionistas – Featured Image

OK, Fashionistas is my theme, and it puts a HUGE featured image on the first page of my website. I installed the Quick Featured Images plugin and it does what I want… however, Fashionistas is still putting it’s version of the featured image on the page. Is there a way to disable the featured image in Fashionistas? I have unchecked the featured image options under the “Single posts/pages” tab of the customization menu with no luck.
