  • REVIEW AFTER SEVERAL YEARS OF USE
I had random php files appearing all over the public_html folder on my hosting account. For a couple of years I struggled to find the source, looking at everything and even scrapping all my sites and starting from scratch. Over time I noticed that these files appeared after WP Bruiser had been installed on one of my sites. Due to my email relationship with the developer it took me a very long time to accept that it may be the source.

I don’t have any direct evidence but WP Bruiser was cleaned from my hosting account over a week ago and not a single gibberish php file has appeared since. That’s longer than ever before. My sites are also noticeably faster to load. As another review notes, I believe this plugin at the very least places a high load on your server.

If you have the knowledge and resources to track what this plugin is doing on your server, I’d recommend that. If it turns out to be a coincidence and gibberish files reappear after writing this, I will update this review.

    ORIGINAL REVIEW:
Like others, I played around with all of the captcha plugins and eventually stumbled across Goodbye Captcha. It immediately stopped comment spam on my sites. I struck up an email conversation with Mihai and installed the extension for forms as a beta tester. It all works flawlessly and makes my life so much easier as well as my site visitors who no longer need to struggle with a captcha image.

Great solution from a developer who is astute and conscientious and strives to deliver an outstanding product. I wish you much success Mihai!
