• This plugin is the best audio playlist manager that I have come across or used, definitely. It makes creating and displaying MP3 playlists easy, smooth and beautiful. However, it has not been updated in quite sometime, and although it works on WP 5.2, it causes a weird glitch. When trying to edit the HTML of a page that has Cue’s shortcodes on it, the WYSSIWIG displays an error and won’t let me edit anything. I have to disable the plugin, make the changes, then reactivate the plugin.

Aside from that glitch, it’s a great plugin. But I fear after a year+ of no updates this plugin is being abandoned, and eventually I’ll have to move to something else.

We appreciate the review, @moruku! Cue isn’t being abandoned as it’s the basis for most of the audio functionality in our themes and we have a couple of premium plugins that are based on it. We haven’t received similar reports about the glitches you’re experiencing, but we’ll look into it.

That being said, we actually have an unreleased update to add support for the new block editor. Feel free to reach out through our contact page if you’d like access to that.

    Thanks,
    Brady

I’m glad to hear it’s not being abandoned. I definitely want to use it and would like some help. Unfortunately, the inability to change the editing mode isn’t the only issue. Now, I can’t save a page that has Cue shortcodes on it. It just sits there and says Saving endlessly and I’ve lost content by having to reload the page. I have to deactivate the plugin to save the page now.

That doesn’t sound pleasant, but it’s not something we’ve experienced and we haven’t had any similar reports. I tested with the current version of Cue using a shortcode and wasn’t able to replicate the issue, either.

Considering Cue the current version of Cue doesn’t have integration for the new editor and you’re using the default shortcode block provided by core, are you sure it’s a problem with Cue? Have you tried deactivating other plugins as well?

Feel free to reach out through our contact form and I’ll send over the latest release so you can see if it resolves the problem you’re having.
