fantastic

Ive been a long time user of WP Cloner, but it recently let me down migrating only half a site. That doesnt make it a bad plugin, but I was stuck to know why and how to rectify it.

A quick look at duplicator, and what a well written plugin. If you look at the installer file you can see the amount of error checking an didiot proofing they have put in. The pro version makes it even easier, doing the database work for you.

The plugin worked flawlessly, guiding me through the process with error checking and other guidance. Within about 15 minutes Id migrated my site without a hitch.

If you write code, or even if you dont, the importance of error checking and helping the user through when things maybe dont go right is paramount. You can even write bad code, but if you tell the user why it has gone wrong and even what to do about it, that makes it better code than great code that leaves you in the dark when it doesnt work.

Happily, in my opinion, this plugin is both well written and extremely user friendly guiding you through what can be a tricky process.

But then again, how could it be otherwise when it gets such high user ratings!
