Support » Plugin: Code Snippets » False 1 star reviews

  • I have been pushed to review this after going through the 1* reviews and finding that most of them were problems the incompetent users created, and instead of asking for help, decided to throw 1 star reviews around.

My site is still under development but I have been using this plugin for several months. During this time, I’ve had to resolve several plugin conflicts which even led me to delete some plugins, but Code Snippets has never been one of them. I have several snippets on two sites on a multiSites installation and the only time I’ve had problem with the plugin is when there was an error in my code.

I was actually looking to switch to another code snippets plugin which seems to have more features than this one, but after further investigation, I have concluded that this is better, even with the limitation in functionality. In fact those limitations, like adding snippets to the head or foot, or adding shortcodes can be accomplished with this plugin if you know what you’re doing. Per the advertised features, this code snippets plugin is doing exactly what it is supposed to do.

I will encourage all the 1* reviewers to change their reviews and seek support from the developer. FYI I’m not a coder either (studied some programming in school but never used it since the 15 years I completed university, so I’m kind of learning afresh). I get all my code snippets from the internet and modify them. But I’m willing to research and learn, so I’m able to get the right thing done without falsely blaming developers.

Keep up the good work, developer.

Thank you for taking the time to evaluate the plugin for yourself, and for the kind review.

We are actually looking at adding easier ways of creating shortcodes and adding code to the head and footer of sites in the upcoming 3.0 version.
