• I am getting super frustrated with this sidebar issue. I can see by reading all of the forums before me that it is a common issue. I just added a new post and the entire content of both my left and right sidebars fell to the bottom of my page. I tried to repositon widgets and it does not correct the problem. I am not a code savy kind of gal. I want to be able to type in my posts and have my website looking like somthing people want to come back to. Someone PLEASE help me get this fixed so I don’t look ridiculous.

  • Your Googly ads are WAAAAAAAY to wide for the spot you’ve placed them in. According to your stylesheet your left sidebar is 200px wide yet one of your ads is 250px wide while the other is a mind whopping 728px wide! Your poor sidebars have no choice but to get the heck out of the way! 😉

Go back to Google AdSense and choose an ad format that will fit properly.

I am getting super frustrated with this sidebar issue.

The issue only has two sources:

    1) Poorly designed themes
    2) Users putting content in posts wider than the theme can handle

Really, it’s only the first one. #2 just means that if you are going to use a poorly designed theme, you need to stay within its limits.

So the easy solution is to shop around for a new theme. Float-based themes generally do not have this sort of problem. Or get a nice wide fixed theme.

But the preceding post should also help.

I cannot tell you how much both of your advice has helped. It is very frustrating to not know what the heck you are doing. I resized my ads to fit the sidebars and it is working fine now. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
