  • I’m taking your advice from earlier this week, Alin, and have been moving all of my projects into one account with Universal active (doesn’t seem a way NOT to have it active).

    I’ve reached the tenth site, set it up as normal project, removed its former account-level item, and then saved. I’ve authorized the plugin, cleared cache, cleared authorization, then reauthorized the plugin (twice now), and am getting -23 and 403 errors on the dashboard.

    So I go back, deauthorize, reauthorize, go check dashboard, and the error numbers may have changed but they’re still errors – OR – it says Authorize Plugin.

    What can I provide to help get out of this loop?

    If you’re looking in Google Analytics -> General Settings -> Debugging Data you should be able to see more details about that 403 error. But you’ll have to look while the plugin is authorized, to make sure is not cleared during the authorization process. Basically, authorize, go to dashboard and if the error is thrown again, look in Debugging Data.

    The -23 is a generic error thrown as a result of a 403.

    403 indicates insufficient permissions or daily limits exceeds, but you’ll have to look for details to figure out what’s wrong. All limits are cleared by Google at midnight PST, while insufficient permissions requires a corrective action.
