I’m having a problem that others have had in the past, but the exchanges of messages are six months to two years old and don’t appear to relate to WP 3.2.1 administered on a Mac (and hosted by Go Daddy).
I successfully installed and activated the plugin, and all the fields look fine. However, when I have tried to send emails to my site from another computer (also a Mac) I always get the message “Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method” in a red box and preceded by something spinning, maybe an arrow. Can someone tell me what’s going on?

I checked the site as well as the update and followed the directions, but I still cannot receive email from another computer on my contact form or send it; I get the “Failed to send” message in the red box in both cases.
Oddly, when I followed the directions and sent a test message to our other Mac from within the settings page (I believe that is where I was at the time) it did arrive. But I still can’t send from my contact form.
I just deactivated Akismet and was able to send and receive a message to my website’s email address from my own computer. However, when I tried to send a message to the site from another computer, I still got the “Failure to send your message” message.
I figured it out. I think the final problem was a } instead of a ]. In any case, I can send and receive email now. Thanks for the form.
I have the same issue where the “Failed to send your message. Please try later or contact the administrator by another method” message in a red box shows. I have followed the steps set out in the FAQ mentioned above and the test send with WP Mail SMTP works fine.
This has been working but we are not sure at what point it failed. Running on WP 3.2.1 and Contact Form 7 v3.0.1.

i have the same probleme, smtp works fine but i cannot send emails from my website
