So far the plugin has a problem with authentication. The connection information has been filled out correctly so I have managed to check box that off the list, but I am wondering if it could be because we use a Varnish server for caching. Would Varnish prevent authentication?

    Hey @davidadunlap,

I’m not aware of any potential conflicts with Varnish. Have you been able to authenticate successfully before? If not, can you check that IP Security is set up correctly?

    Hi Cliff,

We just started using Pardot and just installed the plugin, so I will say it hasn’t worked before but know that “before” is just a few days, lol.

We have whitelisted our website’s IPs. That was one of the first things I checked.

    Hi,

What excatly is the error message you are getting? I got a similiar error but it was resolved by:

    1. The pardot user must not be synced with Salesforce. It must be a pardot only user.
2, if you get the error message even with the Pardot only user try the following:
    3. Log out of pardot.
    4. Hit the lost pwd button. You get an email to reset the pwd.
    5. Open the PWD reset link in incognito/private mode browser and set a new pwd.

The above solved all my auth erros 🙂

    THANK YOU!!!!!!

Item 1 solved it completely. I feel so stupid now cause I always make an API admin user separate from everything else, but didn’t do that this time.

    You @glekar are amazing.

    Glad to hear it!

@davidadunlap, I’ll pass along that this was unclear to you. We don’t want anyone to feel stupid. 🙂
