I am having the same problem, no options to edit sliders or other features. It worked yesterday before the WP 5.5 upgrade. We have evolve 4.2.9.
Hi. If you have 4.2.9, try switching to another theme and back. Let me know if it helped.
I update evolve to 4.2.9. The menu returned to function, but the preview page does not appear.
We rolled out hotfixes as version 4.3.0 It will soon go live and once you update, it’ll be fixed. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Thank you, I can confirm that 4.3.0 restored the Customize menu items and works with WP 5.5 and PHP 7.2.31. I have not checked all functionality but will report any other issues we encounter.
Terrific! Happy to hear that. If you encounter anything, do tell. And tag me to make sure I respond sooner.
Actually, I just discovered that the Bootstrap slider functionality has been reduced to only two slides from 5 in previous versions, and now requires the Premium version for slides 3-5 to work. That is very disappointing to lose that functionality.
No, it was always 2 slides, see here the comparison between the paid theme and the free: https://theme4press.com/evolve-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/ If you had the ability to use 5 slides, which is very strange, then it actually was a bug. Evolve can use 2 slides only for at least two years, more than that was always Evolve Plus ability only.
Hi, yes, the 4.3.0 evolve resolves the problem. I have wordpress 5.5 and PHP 7.4 and everything works perfectly. Thank you for your help.
Fantastic! Thank you for letting me know.
@evgenyviner We have had 5 slides on the free evolve for about 18 months now following a theme upgrade. They are all still live now but there is no way to edit numbers 3-5 following the upgrade this week, we can only disable them.
In no way do I doubt what you’re saying. My point is just that if it was this way, that was not our intention. I understand that to figure it out at this point can be disappointing, sorry for that.
I am having the same problem-I’ve updated and tried switching themes. Not functioning-only widget menu appears in the theme customizer.
If you updated to 4.3.0, then make sure that your cache is cleared. Especially in Chrome. CTRL+F5 on PC or SHIFT+CMD+R on a mac. It will all come back.
