Fails with WP Upgrade

    When it works, it works well – but EVERY TIME WP Updates, if fails and needs to be reconnected. Very annoying, particularly if I have blog posts scheduled ahead and WP auto updates in between posts. I travel and cannot always check the day things should post, so subscribers are missing emailed posts when WPMAIL SMTP fails.

    Hi @scheherazade,

    I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing these issues.

    This is a strange issue and we would like to learn more about it, so we could investigate and see what is causing it. Could you please answer a few questions?

    Which version of our plugin are you using?
    Which mailer are you using (Gmail?)?
    When did you first configure our plugin (first installation of WP Mail SMTP)?
    Is only the connection needed to be reconnected or do you have to set up the whole plugin again (are “client ID” and “client secret” settings still present in our plugin settings)?
    Does this issue happen when WP core is updated or when our plugin is auto-updated?

    If you are using the Gmail mailer, could you please take a look at my answers about Gmail connection breaking here and check if that’s the reason it breaks for you as well?
