# Failed Transaction

 * We are using PW Gift Cards Pro.
 * I have just had an issue reported to me that I am not sure how to reproduce.
 * The issue seems to be that the a user/customer successfully applied a gift voucher
   code to a purchase.
 * However, the purchase failed for whatever reason (perhaps their credit-card was
   declined).
 * When they went to try and do the purchase again, the gift-card voucher had been
   already used… I can see in the orders area the failed transaction and indeed 
   see that the gift-card voucher was applied to that failed transaction.
 * Is this normal?
 * Because the transaction didn’t go through – I would have expected the voucher
   code to not have been depleted.

 * In both the Pro and free versions the gift card balance is deducted as soon as
   the Order is created.
 * If the order is marked Cancelled or Refunded then it will automatically adjust
   the balance on the gift card.
 * Check the status of the Order to see if it is Cancelled or Refunded, any other
   status and the balance will not be returned to the gift card.
 * WordPress.org doesn’t allow supporting Pro plugins using their forums so I am
