Failed to write to disk

    Yesterday everything was uploading fine. Today it appears to upload, then throws the “failed to write to disk” error.

    I did search the forum and cleared out the tmp folder in the root directory of my site on the server and still getting the error.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

    You need to contact your hosts for assistance. This is a server issue – not a WordPress one.

    i have contacted my host. we have not been able to resolve the issue yet. that is why i asked the question here. does wordpress use the tmp folder in the root directory? or is there another tmp folder it uses? and since the tmp folder in the root directory is empty now, what else could be causing this on the server end.

    WordPress uses a temporary folder, yes. Which folder is used depends upon how the server is configured.
