    I’ve updated my site to WP 5.5.3 and Contact Form 7 to v. 5.3.
    When I try to send a message I get this message “Failed to send your message. Did you check the “I’m not a robot” box?” I have reCaptcha v.3 installed and no “I’m a robot” box showing.

    Can you help me troubleshoot why I’m getting the “Failed to send your message. Did you check the “I’m not a robot” box?” error message?

    Note: I rolled back to Contact Form 7 v. 5.1.8 and the error does not appear. I am able to send the message successfully.

    I believe you did not switch correctly from reCaptcha v2 to v3 in CF7 coniguration.

    To use Google’s reCaptcha v3, which does not show in the form anymore, you need:

    – a reCaptcha 3.0 web- & secret key from your Google account
    – a configuration in Contact Form 7 integration settings for v3 (current Contact Form 7)
    – using the correct shortcut in the form ‘[recaptcha]’

    Try it, rolling back to an unsupported old version is not a good idea.

    P.S.: Just read the manual again about CF7 v3 API , I think [recaptcha]’ in the form is not longer neccassary.

    Hi kraeMit – Thanks so much for your prompt reply. I have configured the reCaptcha 3.0 Site Key and Secret Key and, as you indicated, I don’t need to include the “[recaptcha]” in the form itself. Yes, I agree, rolling back to a previous version isn’t such a great idea, but I didn’t know what else to do. Since my previous post, I have rolled back to a more recent version (v. 5.2.2) of Contact Form 7 and it is also working fine in that version. Maybe I’ll hope for the best and the next time you update the CF7 plugin it will start working again.

    Hi kraeMit,

    I tested our site again after the latest updates and with version 5.3 of the Contact Form 7 plugin and I am able to successfully submit messages through the Contact Form. This ticket can be moved to Resolved.
