    Hi,

I have installed the salesforce wordpress to lead plugin and entered the salesforce Org Number, updated a contact form with the fields I want, added the shortcode to the Contact Us page and it displays correctly on my website. However, when I test it I only get a ‘Failed to connect to Salesforce.com error and no data is uploaded in Salesforce.

The website I am using is http://harrisonlane.strategic.co.nz which is the development space for the new site we are creating for harrisonlane.co.nz.

    Please can you assist?

    Standard troubleshooting procedure:

    1. Check for plugin conflicts:
Deactivate all possible plugins: Did that solve the problem?

If it did, it’s a plugin conflict:
Reactivate plugins one at a time until the problem returns. The last plugin activated is the culprit. Report back with that plugin name/link and I can troubleshoot the issue to determine if there’s a fix.

    If not:

    2. Check for theme conflicts:
With all plugins disabled, switch to a bundled theme (2011, 2012, 2013, 2014). Did that solve the problem?

If it did, your theme is causing the issue. Talk to the theme vendor directly or request premium support to have me troubleshoot the issue with your theme.

If not, it’s an issue with your hosting:
Talk to your host or request premium support to have me troubleshoot the issue with your server.

    Hi Nick,

What does premium support cost please?

OK thank you. Have narrowed it down – most definitely a hosting issue. Likely to move site to a new server if they cannot resolve. Thx for your help.

Host has largely resolved my issue. Connection to salesforce now working, but getting this error msg appearing above the form when a new enquiry is submitted on the contact page:

Notice: sanitize_url is deprecated since version 2.8! Use esc_url_raw() instead. in /home/strategi/public_html/harrisonlane/wp-includes/functions.php on line 3378

    Any ideas please?

    Cheers

Turn off debugging — notices are not errors, just informational.

I’ll note that to cleanup in the next release.

One final query if I may… I have 3 forms configured on this site, using custom fields and all 3 are now working and submitting data to Salesforce.
One of them – http://harrisonlane.strategiq.co.nz/design-price-estimate/ is running all lines together in the emails that get sent to admin as well as to the customer if they request a copy for themselves, whereas the others display each field of the form on a separate line. Just wondering if you can think of any reason why that might be… (Dealing with the really big issues now I know!) Many Thanks, Angela

Please create a new thread for new issues, thanks.
