# Failed login

 * Hello! This is kind of related to [https://wordpress.org/support/topic/failed-logins-2/#post-12962688](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/failed-logins-2/#post-12962688)
 * So I enabled the login IP restriction with 1 IP but the failed database table
   is still filling up with failed attempts from other IPs. Mainly from someone (
   or it) trying to use the username [login] from all random IPs. I’m so confused.
   Anything else I can try that I missed?

 * Go to **WP Security -> Firewall -> Basic Firewall Rules** and check to make sure
   one of the following security features is enabled.
 * > Completely Block Access To XMLRPC:
   >  Disable Pinback Functionality From XMLRPC:
 * Let me know what happens.

 * Woooow. That was it! I saw that option but had no idea what it even was! Dang.
   That was a new one to me. Thank you!!
