# Failed Install

 * I keep trying to install wordpress but it seems to be failing. I am installing
   through cPanel Fantastico – WordPress 2.1 on my own dedicated server When I install–
   it seems to go okay. All the files are in the proper directory. I can view the
   readme.html file in my web browser, I can go to the install.php page – and it
   says I’ve already installed wordpress. Then, I can click on the link for login–
   and type in the username/password – and press submit, it just fails. I get the
   standard explorer/firefox “page not found” message. Then, I can no longer go 
   to login.php – it just fails. And if I just try going to the root directory of
   wordpress – I get the page cannoot be displayed message.
