failed install: drop index fails, mysql hangs

    Once I get to page 3 of the install, mysql hangs on ALTER TABLE wp_posts DROP INDEX post_name_1

    I know this because I can see the process listed on phpmyadmin. and mysqld is up at %84 of my CPU and my fan is going.

    this process is not killable by the phpmyadmin control panel, and mysqld_safe is not killable by sudo kill PID !!

    wow. this is on my local machine, doing a test install.
    this maybe a mysql bug, but i’ve never heard of such a simple lethal bug on mysql.
