I have 2.5 installed and apparently running (with no posts), but the Manage>Import is not functioning. I browse to the XML file exported from my old wordpress installation, but I get the error:

The uploaded file could not be moved to <path>/wordpress/wp-content. 105

and it stops there instead of prompting to map users etc.

This installation is new, hosted at a hosting company on a dedicated server running Plesk management software. I’m pretty sure the permissions are correct for the WordPress folders, and creating new posts seems to work fine.

Does anyone have an idea as to how to fix this? Would reverting to 2.3.3 help in any way?

    Update:
Hi dude, fidn the problem for that, you need to change the file attribute to 777, everything in wp-content/upload, I did that easily via file zilla.

hope this will solve your problem. cheers
