# Failed import

 * In changing hosts, i exported all files from the old wp site.
 * I tried to import the files on the new wp site [http://purecashmagazine.com](http://purecashmagazine.com)
   but it ‘failed’.
 * I did import the pages and posts, but none of the images that were embedded in
   the them.
 * Via FTP i can see that the individual folders were created for each year and 
   month, but they are all empty.
 * Is there a way to pull the images from the export file and transfer over manually?
   or another solution for this?

 * Right, I had read that. Problem is the domain has been transferred to the new
   hosting company (where the wp site is now), I can’t go back and access the wp
   files from the original wp database… right?
 * can i pull the images from the old database if the domain is no longer registered
   on that hosting account?

   backup file?

 * I just exported the old database yesterday. Imported it to the new site this 
   morning. Have not created a backup of the new site.
 * Not sure if i have access to the old database. Waiting to hear from the site’s
   owner to see if they closed out the old hosting account or not.
