Failed downloads in Internet Explorer when using [downloads] shortcode

We are having a weird issue with the [downloads] shortcode not working in Internet Explorer. The shortcode will display the items properly, however whey you click on any of the links in Internet Explorer, they will fail to download. The regular [download] shortcode does not have this issue. I can confirm this issue is not occurring in Firefox or Chrome.

Now all downloads will not work in Internet Explorer. Can anyone help? I will have to move away from this plugin if I can’t get it resolved.

The problem still exists. On the second link in the example, when you open it in internet explorer, the file will fail to download.

Same here! Tested downloading this file in IE11 and IE edge:
http://www.academiebw.nl/download-centrum/download-info/aanvraagformulier-omzetting-svh-2/

It downloads a empty file with a 0kb size. Works fine on other browsers..

We changed a few lines of code and now it works. Maybe something to fix in the next plugin update?
