I purchased BusinessPro Theme from CyberChimps.com and when I installed it using WordPress, I received a Error page to the effect of ‘oops we encountered an Error that we are working on, please try again later’.

Then when I tried to re-install, I get the following failed installed message.

    ———————
    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the theme…

    Destination folder already exists. //PHX3.GDHOSTING.GDG/P3NWHG511/hosting/96/9952096/html/wp-content/themes/businesspro/

    Theme install failed.

    ———————

How do I delete the original destination folder so I can get a good install and use the theme?

    Thanks,

    Tony

More on the original error message page. It has a picture of a swimmer wearing a snorkel and a floaty standing near a sign that say’s “”Beware of Sharks”. The error message reads:

    ———————————–

    “We’ve happened onto a bit of a problem…”

    “500 (Internal Server) Error
…that we’re working furiously to correct. Things will be up and running again soon. Thanks for your patience.”
    ————————————

    Thanks for any help possible,

    TS

I’m sorry but as you are using a commercial theme, you need to seek support from the theme’s vendors.

Really? What is a disappointing response. Particularly since I resolved the issue using your advice to another string:

“FTP into your site (or use whatever file management application your host provides) and delete the broken theme folders in wp-content/themes.”

This did in fact cleared the WP “Error 500” and allowed me to make a clean install. This was a WP processing problem not Theme’s Code problem.

No – that was a faulty theme upload.
