# FAIL: WordPress automatic update

 * That happens sometimes.
 * 1) delete the file `.maintenance` from the main WordPress folder (should be there
   in the same folder as your .htaccess and wp-config.php file)
 * 2) Delete the folder `wp-content/upgrade`
 * Then try again. If it fails again, you’ll need to do a manual upgrade.

 * I had to manually upgrade which certainly takes longer – but it worked.
