    Hi,

Recently I receive many notifications indicating failing to update UpdraftPlus. I try to update it manually, and get the following result:

Update failed: The package could not be installed.

THis occurs on 3 sites with WordPress installed. So I think this should not be the issue of our site. Please kindly tell us how to solve it.

    Hi,

Do you have security plugin installed or firewall that is might be interfering with the update? Can you check please?

    Thanks,
    Bryle

I am experiencing this issue as well on a dozen or more sites. All other plugins are updating as expected. It states the package cannot be found.

    Hi,

If you re-install UpdraftPlus do you still get the same issue?
You will not lose your backups in the process.

I manage over 50 WordPress sites and bought the premium edition of Updraft. It would be a significant time investment to replace on every site. Since I’m a paying customer, I expect that the automatic, or at the least, individual updates would work. Is there a reason it doesn’t?

    Hi,

Uninstall the old version and reinstall does solve the issue, though it is time-consuming as @loafintree said.

Confirmed. It looks like using UpdraftPLus to queue and process the updates may work as well. I use a self-hosted version.
